"Given that an excavator ram can cost you in added amount of $50,000, the cost savings are pretty awesome, which is why the need for our covers is fast increasing."
One of the first companies to match the protective covers to its entire truck fleet was Western-Australia based FMG, at its mine in far north WA.
WA anf Rio Tinto in Queensland has also just placed a mass order for the sleeves, which MMT is producing in a range of safety colors, including yellow and orange.
"We're discovering that the more progressive businesses are seeing the huge cost features, and our orders have increased by 20 per cent simply because first release into the Queensland market only six months ago," Mr Spouge added.
"We're as well working with a number of the larger miners to custom model protective sleeves for other plant and machinery, and this bespoke, tailor-made service is a location which we can be looking to increase into in the future."
